Sales Rep Jobs

Being a freelance sales rep is a difficult job. This is especially true if you are starting out in the profession. It's a Catch 22: you can't get work until you get experience and you can't get experience until you get work. If you are starting out as a sales rep, we make getting hired much easier. Really, you can think of MRP as an employment agency.

A beginning sales rep will have to start small. You can't expect to get a major account right off the bat--it's been known to happen, but you shouldn't count on it. Your best bet may be to go with smaller companies that are also just starting out. You may have to take a smaller commission in order to compete with more experienced sales agents.

A Personalized Touch
If you are a beginning rep, it is a good idea to have an open dialog with a client. After all, you want to be in the know about the current product and in the loop on any future product lines. Our consultation with manufacturers and importers ensures a clear flow of communication.

It also ensures that you will be able to do your job effectively. Often poor sales are not the fault of the sales rep, instead being a result of poor or simply short-sighted planning. If a manufacturer is not clear about a product's value or long-term goals, a sales rep will have to sell blindly. The MRP interview/consultation process will lead to better sales results; this is important for both beginning and experienced sales reps, not to mention manufacturers and importers themselves.
