Our database of manufacturers' reps only includes reps that hold to a strict ethical code. When we talk about reps' experience, this refers to both the amount of sales a rep has made as well as any marks on a seller's record. Abuse of ethical standards is not widespread in the industry, but at MRP, we still feel it's important to our clients to make absolutely certain that the reps in our pool are ethically responsible.
This means that a rep will work efficiently--he will cover a territory to the best of his abilities. The rep will never oversell a product. This is a very subtle distinction because while you want a salesperson to be aggressive, you do not want a salesperson to misrepresent a product. Effective reps can sell well while still adhering to the ethics and principles of the company they are representing.
Normally if a sales rep has a long sales record, this means that the rep has held to ethical standards. A salesperson won't get hired repeatedly if he has been less than scrupulous or even less than effective. Our thorough screening process will determine that our candidates are suited to do what they promise.
